Sunderlands first victory of the season came by way of a 92nd minute goal from Liam Lawrences cross. Unfortunately Dan Smith also managed to get himself sent off in the 90th minute on his debut!
This might have been a mild tonic by means of victory had the opponents not been from as low a division as they were but, a victory is a victory.
