Sunderland AFC`s newest player during the current window Paul McShane has made the relatively small trip from the Hawthorns to Join the Black Cats at the `SoL`.
McShane becomes Keano`s sixth summer signing behind, Russell
Anderson, Greg Halford, Kieran Richardson, Michael Chopra and Dickson Etuhu and takes Sunderlands current transfer spending to just under £15m, with fees for certain players rising dependant on us staying in the Premiership and/or appearances.
£1.5m (rising to £2.5m dependant on conditions) seems like an absolute steal for a player of McShanes quality, standing 6' tall and with international experience under his belt, this 21 year old will hold no fear for the coming season, yet again Keano has brought in experience that has a definite positive feel about it, this time strengthening our defence.

About the SAFC Blog
I have been a mental SAFC fan all of my life and i needed a place to have a rant on occasion. It started in 2005 with the history of football shortly followed by the history of SAFC and slowly degenerated into a typical rant and rave site to coincide with all of the ups and downs of being a Sunderland fan.
